Two days ago, Davido took to his Social Media page to endorse some candidates in the upcoming election. Davido shared on his Twitter that he would be voting Atiku for president, Banky W and Shina Peller for house of representatives for their different states.
In his tweet, Davido addressed the fact that he isn’t loyal to only one party, but he is voting for his preferred candidates.
Some fans after reading his tweet, somewhat bashed and criticised him for publicly endorsing candidates for the forthcoming election. Some went as far as saying that the people he endorse had most likely paid him to do so.
Well, hours after Davido shared his preferred candidates online, Wizkid took out time to educate his followers on the need to “think for themselves” and not be influenced by any celebrity. And this is coming days after Atiku declared Davido as the king of Nigerian music.
The starboy also admonished his fans, and advised that no one should sell their votes for any reason whatsoever.
In his own words;
“Don’t let anybody wen don collect money influence ur vote to tell u who’s right or not! Use yot head! Vote wisely! I’m for whoever the people vote. Vote who you like…vote wisely.
If u ’re old enough to get a PVC, u’re old enough to think! Don’t sell ur vote…uir vote can make a difference! Go out and vote!
And Politicians wey Dey enter stop joking with peoples lives! U’re responsible for the lives of millions of people and ur decisions affects all. Help us make Naija a better place!!! Make una use una head! One Love!”
This didn’t go down well with a couple of fans, as many are saying he stylishly attacked Davido. Some are of the opinion that he was indirectly attesting to the rumour that Davido was paid to endorse the candidates he declared loyalty for in the upcoming election.
