Hit and run by an Army officer: Please, let us join hands to help a brother, friend and bread winner of his family. He is 25 years of age, native of Igbeti, Olorunshogo Local Gvt Area of Oyo state, a serving Naval personnel of Nigerian Naval Air Base Ojo ( SERVICE NUMBER L8849). He was a victim of hit and run by an Army Lt Colonel.
This unfortunate incident which has destroyed his spinal cord, happened on the 15th day of December 2015, when he was on his way to his post, Naval Air Base Ojo. Upon approaching the Overhead Bridge in Trade fair Bus Stop, along Badagry express way, he had a collision with a motor biker, and both fell on the roadside. Whilst trying to get up, he was struck again by an incoming Army Hilux Van.
Riding inside the Army Hilux Van, was a Lt Colonel (name witheld), the van hit Naval personnel, Bello Toheeb Olalekn on his back while trying to get up after his fall from the collision with the motor biker. After being knocked down by the Army Hilux, he immediately lost sensation to his legs.
The Lt Colonel, after seeing this, came out of the van and instructed His Army escorts to pick Bello Toheeb Olalekan’s unmovable body up from the scene and ordered the other biker to be arrested but to their surprise, the biker was a military personnel on civilian clothing.
The other motor biker identified himself to Lt Colonel A. and was told to ride at the back of the Hilux van, while Naval Officer Bello Toheeb Olalekan was taken to the Nigerian Army Hospital OJO on the same day along with his belongings and in the process, he lost consciousness.
When he gained consciousness in Army Hospital, upon hearing that Bello was a Naval personnel, Lt Colonel A. ordered his men to take Bello to the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital Ojo. Since that same day, Lt Colonel A. and other Army personnels involved in this haven’t paid a visit to Bello nor his family members. Right now, Bello is suffering and is in great paid.
