The former football striker and former head coach of the Nigerian Men National Football Team, Super Eagles between 2010 and October 2011 surprised all when he announced his is celebrating 30 years of blissful marriage to his beautiful wife.
News of his 30th wedding anniversary caused brouhaha not because people do not like Siasia or are not happy with him but because Siasia is 47 years old.
And the question on everybody that hear this is, “Does it mean Siasia got married as a teenager? If he is 47 and celebrating 30th wedding anniversary that means he married at the age of 17.”
According to Wikipedia, Samson Siasia will be 48 on August 14, 2015. Some people have come to say his age on Wikipedia is an official age and not his biological age.
His numerous fans are expecting Siasia to clear the air on these issues, especially that of his age.
The former football striker and former head coach of the Nigerian Men National Football Team, Super Eagles between 2010 and October 2011 surprised all when he announced his celebrating 30 years of blissful marriage to his beautiful wife.
Before becoming the coach of the Nigeria National Team, Siasia had played for Nigeria 51 times in which he scored 13 goals. He was part of the team that participated in the 1994 FIFA World Cup and won the 1994 African Nations Cup. He was also a member of the Nigerian team that won bronze at the 1992 African Nations Cup in Senegal. He was a member of the National Team for a period of 11 years and was recognized in Nigeria as the third leading scorer for the National Team.
At the club level Siasia played more for the French team, FC Nantes where he became league champion in 1994/1995. He also played for Australian Club Perth Glory with fellow compatriot, Peter Anosike. Siasia ply his trade in Belgium, Portugal, Saudi Arabia and Israel.
In November 2009, the main field at the Yenogoa Township Stadium was named in his honor.
